Welcome to Ukukhanyakwezwe LSEN School

Extra-Curricular

Sport
Our sports extracurricular activities give learners the chance to have fun while strengthening their physical abilities. Through active participation, they build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and become more engaged within a broader community. These activities also create opportunities for learners and educators to connect with diverse groups of people. We encourage all learners to get involved, as success on the sports field fosters a strong sense of wellbeing, pride, and personal achievement.
Cultural Activities
The staff and learners at Ukukhanyakwezwe are dedicated to participating in a variety of cultural activities that enrich school life. These experiences help build character, strengthen self-confidence, and nurture teamwork. They also give learners space to explore and express their creative abilities in meaningful ways. Importantly, cultural involvement supports mental wellbeing by encouraging healthy emotional expression, belonging, and a sense of inner peace.

Ukukhanyakwezwe is a state-aided school. This means that the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education provides the school with a subsidy and the balance of the funding must be obtained via fund-raising efforts and donations, for us to meet our strategic and business objectives. As the school is still new and surrounded by farms it is a challenge for us to get exposure and attract businesses to sponsor equipment needed for the skills development of our learners. Your contribution can make a direct and lasting impact.
